MAIN PURPOSE:
As
a Senior Specialist in insights and analysis you will work closely with
business stakeholders in the Vodacom International Markets (Kenya, DRC,
Tanzania, Mozambique and Lesotho) as part of a central analytics
support team. In this role you will be responsible for data science
work within the markets, focused on machine learning models to deliver
business impact. You will be required to travel to one or more of the
Vodacom International Markets from time to time for short visits and
stakeholder management.

KEY DELIVERABLES AND DECISION OWNERSHIP:
Create machine learning models that provide actionable business insight to Vodacom and its stakeholders
Develop
predictive models with large and varied datasets, working with a
community of colleagues across advanced analytics, technology, data and
customer functions
Use data visualisation to engage audience, enabling effective storytelling and stakeholder buy-in
Conduct exploratory and in-depth data analysis using Oracle SQL/advanced data manipulation/ management tools
Complete data quality validation to identify deviations from trends and generate possible corrective measures
Perform complex analysis on customer characteristics and behaviour, to identify opportunities and inform customer value management (CVM) activities

Prepare
high quality Power Point and Excel analyses to be presented to
stakeholders on existing CVM products enabled by advanced modelling by
building and optimising R and Python scripts
Manage and maintain impactful relationships with all external vendors and technical contractors
